What we collect (almost nothing)
LinkedOut is an anonymous satirical game. We do not ask for email, password, phone number, or real name. When you create a profile we store only the nickname, role, and company you type, plus the posts, reactions, disconnections, and 'escapes' you perform in the game. A technical cookie (lo_session) keeps you logged in; a browser preference stores your language.
Your Evasion Code
Your profile has no account behind it: the Evasion Code shown at creation is the only way to restore it on another device. We store only a cryptographic hash of it, so we cannot recover it for you if you lose it. Deleting your profile from the app permanently deletes all your data.
Everything you post is public
Posts and profile details are visible to every visitor of the site. Do not publish personal data (yours or anyone else's), and do not use real names of real people or companies in a defamatory way. This is satire: keep it fictional.
Satire disclaimer
LinkedOut is a parody. It is not affiliated with LinkedIn or any real company. All seeded characters and companies are fictional; any resemblance to real 'hustle gurus' is purely coincidental (or statistically inevitable). Content that is illegal, defamatory, or targets private individuals will be removed.
Third parties
The site is served through Cloudflare (which processes IP addresses for security, including our anti-abuse rate limiting). Post translations are generated by an AI model; the text of the post is sent to the translation service for that purpose only. There is no advertising and no tracking analytics.
